The medium-sized discs are the same as the discs that come with the Abiding in Jesus Lifestyle Planner.
 
You could:
Archive past calendar and journal pages.
Use this as an seperate notebook that can hold up to 150 sheets.
Keep additional blank refill pages in this spare notebook.  Take new pages out when you need them for your planner.
 
For reference:
Large Discs - 1 1/2" diameter - comfortably holds up to 180 sheets
Medium Discs - 1" diameter - comfortably holds up to 130 sheets
Small Discs - 1/2" diameter - comfortably holds up to 60 sheets
 
Disc are just as sturdy as ordinary 3-ring binders but much easier to use.  No pinching your fingers, just lift the page off to remove, or press the notches of the paper around the discs to insert the page in.  
 
Plastic covers are durable with a matt finish.
